superf{\'{\i}}cie na regi{\~a}o da Amaz{\^o}nia Legal durante
o per{\'{\i}}odo dos anos de 2016 at{\'e} 2021 a fim de
compreender o comportamento e distribui{\c{c}}{\~a}o deste
poluente atmosf{\'e}rico e sua rela{\c{c}}{\~a}o com as
queimadas. Como resultado, os maiores n{\'u}meros BC foram
encontrados nos meses de julho, agosto, setembro e outubro,

is noted that in recent years fires for land occupation and
agricultural management have intensified, having as one of the
effects the increase in the concentration of pollutants in the
atmosphere, causing harmful effects to the environment and human
health. The objective of this research was to analyze the fires
and the concentrations of black carbon (BC), with MERRA-2
reanalysis data in the atmosphere, near the surface in the Legal
Amazon region during the period from 2016 to 2021 in order to
understand the behavior and distribution of this air pollutant and
its relationship with fires. As a result, the highest BC numbers
were found in the months of July, August, September and October,
coinciding with the months of lowest rainfall and relative
humidity, with an even greater increase in the last three years of
this study 2019 to 2021.",
